Full.
Too full to do anything other than watch films.
Love this feeling.
Belly up to competition standard.
Found these over xmas -
Even though no-one is reading, i wish you all a Happy Holiday from 'EL'. We'll be seeing you next year - count on it.

No time for heroes...
I'm exhausted.
Not because the noise stained your eyes, but because there seems to be a hole where all good ideas fall through into a place with bare walls wearing finger marks.
There's a guy down there with an idea colector broom and sweeps it all away into a massive void under a carpet.
And, like dust, they'll not recieve a good defense.
They'll be made up of 75% human skin.
There is no time for heroes, not because the light fell on deaf ears, but because there seems to be a switch in your head where the signal for logic is routed through and someone keeps switching it off.
With good TV, there is no time for heroes.
[Fuck all of your glossy magazines]
It's good to be back in London.

Sketches
Bored at work. Started sketching. See if you can spot the EL logo in every picture. I'll be completely honest with you. This is a form of advertising. before you've even heard the music you're arleady familiar with the brand. Fucking devious eh?
Read Naomi Klein - 'No Logo'
Watch the Zeitgeist movie - www.zeitgeistmovie.com
then maybe we'll talk.

This is not an education. Though strong language is used there is never any intention to offend. This is just for kicks, k? k -

Poor man's workmen.
We all used to rehearse at this place called 'Riot Club' in Hounslow. That's where we met, kind of. That place closed down leaving a large number of musicians unable to practice in our local area. Major Bummer. This happened in and around June/July, just as we were getting started as a collective. Without a place to rehearse in relative comfort and with relative ease, things were looking dim. This promted us to see the obvious solution - Build our own space to work in.

4-OCT/07 -Grey Horse, Kingston-
To anybody out there.
Kieran and I played an improvised set at the CRASH night in Kingston. We used guitar(s), keyboards, curry bongo's, vocals to make an impression. Though the 'crows' were talking over the music, eventually they died down. By the closing notes to our half-time interpretation of 'Under Achiever' there wasn't a sound in the house. That. Was. Nice.
We played under the name 'EL'. So if you see 'Ex Libras' / 'Ex Lib' / 'EL' anywhere on a gig poster, thats us.

(I should also casually mention that this is the current Blog for us as a band, detailing the exploits & thoughts of our time in existence)
